From the board of ICAHD-USA - Update and Appeal THE REPORT To Friends of ICAHD-USA Dear friends of ICAHD-USA, We’re writing to let you know that we are back as a part of the activist landscape with our unique and laser-like focus on house demolitions as a window into understanding Israeli apartheid and in our support of the One Democratic State Campaign. We're very grateful for the counsel and partnership with our friends at ICAHD-UK. Our board has been restructured, our financial house is in order, and we have renewed our commitment to our continuing mission: Amplifying a critical Israeli voice in the US, opposing US government support of Israeli apartheid, supporting the One Democratic State Campaign. We’re grateful to so many of you who have remained faithful supporters throughout the years. While we’re being methodical and strategic in our restructuring, these are some of the things that are already in progress: + You’ve already been receiving our regular ICAHD-USA Report, a must-read for understanding Israel's "matrix of control," critical Palestine-Israel news, Jeff’s cutting edge analyses, opportunities for solidarity, Calls to Action, and the work of ICAHD in the United States; + We've been hosting a series of webinars, including: - - "Becoming Political Actors," with Jeff, Awad Abdelfattah, Beth Miller of JVP-Action, and Huwaida Arraf, co-founder of ISM and newly-announced House candidate in Michigan; - - “Defund Racism,” a Palestinian-led movement to end the use of ‘charitable funds' raised in the US to carry out the mission of Israeli settler organizations, with Tarteel Al-Junaidi of Christian Peacemaker Teams, Hebron, Sami Huwaini of Youth of Sumud in the South Hebron Hills, and Cody O’Rourke, Good Shepherd Collective; and - - “Christian Zionism,” with prominent scholars, authors, and activists, Dr. Don Wagner, FOSNA’s Jonathan Kuttab, and Stephen Sizer) – currently with over 13,000 “hits” on our website; + We're planning for a US tour for Jeff in 2022, monitoring closely the COVID situation before we decide on dates; + We are actively promoting the One Democratic State Campaign through webinars and through initiatives on the ground in Israel and Palestine; + We will be laying the groundwork for an End House Demolitions Campaign; + We’re currently integrating our ICAHD-USA webpage into the ICAHD website, and updating it with the latest information and analyses, action alerts and upcoming programs; + We're updating a number of ICAHD's materials and analyses, and making plans for a new documentary film on house demolitions; + We’re working together on a curriculum for community groups, churches and other organizations, using house demolitions to discuss the many aspects of Israel's matrix of control; + We support the work of ICAHD-Jerusalem as they will continue to host tour groups and rebuilding camps once the COVID situation allows traveling to Israel and Palestine; + We're supporting the Defund Racism Campaign with the Good Shepherd Collective and other activist groups in and around Hebron, and other campaigns consistent with our mission; + We're partnering with US activist organizations (eg. JVP, US Campaign for Palestinian Rights, FOSNA, American Muslims for Palestine, Students for Justice in Palestine, and others; + We've been promoting Jeff's new book, Decolonizing Israel, Liberating Palestine: Zionism, Settler Colonialism, and the Case for One Democratic State: + We are also connected to the global ICAHD network in the UK, Finland, and Germany, planning programs, webinars, tours, campaigns, and other initiatives together.
