"In a statement circulated by Palestinian faction offices in Algeria on Sunday, the groups urged Algiers to take a firm stance against "the ongoing efforts inside UN corridors to pass the US draft resolution related to deploying international forces in the Gaza Strip.

"The joint statement described the draft as 'a dangerous development' and said it 'represents, under various titles, a new attempt to impose another form of occupation on our land and people, and to legitimize foreign trusteeship over the future of our national cause.'"
