Publication date:
Thursday, February 21, 2013

ICAHD Director Jeff Halper has embarked on a speaking tour that will take him to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the UK. The trip is dedicated to presenting ICAHD's views on the Israel/Palestine conflict before academics, students, parliamentarians, activists and the general public.

Sponsors of the various meetings and events include the Faculty for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (FFIPP), ABP, Northampton Al Bireh Friendship Association and ICAHD UK. During the first four meetings Jeff will share a platform with Palestinian Mazin Qumsiyeh as they explore the possibility of a one state solution. They are sponsored by FFIPP,  an academic network of Israeli, Palestinian and international students that works together towards the end of the occupation of the Palestinian Territories and for a just peace in Israel and Palestine. FFIPP aims to achieve these goals by spreading awareness about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the role of international law and politics. Jeff will also speak at FFIPP events in Luxembourg.

Other topics covered at meetings will include information about house demolitions and displacement and what Jeff describes as “global Palestine”.
