The event will examine what can be done to empower the Palestinians as Israel moves to the last stage of implementing its settler colonial and apartheid policies over them. We will also address how to respond to the criminalisation of those who demonstrate solidarity for Palestinians.
What We'll Explore
- What is meant by settler colonialism and Israel’s normalisation policies, and will two-state apartheid be implemented over the Palestinians?
- How much have the wars on Iran and Lebanon changed the situation internationally and within Israeli society?
- What can internationals abroad do to empower the Palestinians in their struggle for justice?
- Will international law ever be respected when it comes to Israel/Palestine?
- What can we do about the UK government’s complicity in its support for Israel, including the ongoing genocide in Gaza which has spread into the West Bank?
- How can people know the truth when there is biased reporting within establishment media?
- As freedom of speech is restricted, how can we challenge what is happening and which media platforms should we use?
- As campaigning for Palestine is criminalised in the UK (as well as in other countries), how should civil society respond even when taking a moral stand means imprisonment?
