Jeff will approach the subject from the point of view of Israel’s agenda and whether or not it is emerging stronger or weaker; Massoud, who is of Iranian origin, will focus on the impact of the war with Iran and both its own and the region’s future trajectory; while Elham will look at the implications of these wars and developments for the greater region, but with a special emphasis on the Gulf States and the normalization process.
Will a fundamentally “new” Middle East emerge, who will be the power actors and with what agendas, and can we expect changes in the direction of greater regional democracy, prosperity, peace and justice – and where will the Palestinian issue fit in – or will it be one simply continuing the repressive inequalities of today?

Over 1,200 homes were demolished in the past five years, with an unprecedented surge following 7^th October 2023. In addition, many hundreds of Palestinians are forced into "self-demolition" to avoid heavy fines and costs.
In this webinar we will hear from the local people who face demolitions and forced displacement so Israeli settlers can move in, taking over their properties. While the eyes of the world are focussed on Iran and Lebanon, the demographics within East Jerusalem are changing at a rapid rate.

The aim of this webinar was to help the audience understand how the United States has embraced Christian Zionism, which is an interpretation of selected Bible passages, and “end time” theology to justify what the US is doing in Israel and further afield.

ICAHD UK Webinar

Tuesday, 28^th April – 90 minutes 9pm (Jerusalem) 7pm (UK) 2pm (EDT) This timely webinar focuses on how the wars in Gaza, Iran and Lebanon are changing the landscape in the Middle East, in particular given Israel’s agenda of normalizing its apartheid regime with the Arab states.
New ICAHD UK Webinar

Tuesday, 14th May 2026 8pm (Jerusalem) 6pm (UK) 1pm (EDT) Israeli authorities have accelerated the demolition of Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem, especially in neighbourhoods like Silwan located just below the Old City. Iin nearly all cases, Israel cites the lack of building permits which are notoriously difficult for Palestinians to obtain.
Speakers:

Fakhri Abu Diab is a prominent Palestinian community activist and spokesperson for the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan, East Jerusalem. Fakhri’s family have experienced two home demolitions. He will describe what it was like when violent, gun-waving Israeli paramilitary police escorting a bulldozer arrived at his home. Fakhri will unpack the personal and collective struggle of Palestinians facing home demolitions and displacement, the loss of personal history, the political nature of displacement, and his commitment to non-violent resistance

Webinar Recording The framework for this webinar is that we find ourselves in a world that seems to be falling apart due to political division and corruption, economic instability, and lack of respect for international law. In today’s world, religious leaders make deals with political leaders and vice versa, for reciprocal benefit. The news on 13^th April included the AI generated graphic of Donald Trump portraying himself as Jesus healing the sick. It came shortly after Trump criticised Pope Leo as “weak”.
