"The prognosis is concerning, if not dire. In the progression of Zionist settler colonialism from the Judaization of Palestine through the suppression of all resistance and on to its culmination by simply being normalized as the accepted reality, we are in the last phase of pacification and, as the Abraham Accords bring in more Arab and Muslim states, approaching normalization.
"But, I argue, that prognosis can still be reversed if the necessary steps are taken: effective, coordinated, Palestinian-led organization, clear goals, priorities and strategies to achieve them, and a political program. One cannot be in a struggle without an end-game.
"Whether or not we rise to the occasion remains to be seen. So far there is much more protest, academic analysis and BDS disconnected from stated political goals than there is a coherent anti-colonial movement towards liberation. I hope you will find my analysis, my evaluation of where we are in the struggle and what still needs to be done, useful for our collective endeavor towards a free Palestine and an inclusive, just post-colonial future. But the hour is late and the task of effectively organizing around a political program is more than urgent.

JEFF'S FEBRUARY VIDEO UPDATE

"Following is my monthly update, a mix of what's been happening 'on the ground' in Palestine -- pretty dramatic developments -- with an evaluation of where we stand in the struggle for Palestinian rights and, as much as it seems distant and almost "academic," the decolonization of Palestine and the construction of a just post-colonial polity and society -- the latter being the whole point.
