We can be hugely proud of our important work sharing knowledge. Through our books, talks and tours the team at the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD) have empowered thousands of people to go back to their communities and act as a catalyst for change. Our mission is to create thousands of advocates for a future where Palestinians and Israelis live together as equals.
Septembersaw a slight decrease in Palestinian home demolitions. However, the month of October brought renewed misery to Palestinians across Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, with demolitions taking place almost daily. Here they view Atir, one of the unrecognized villages threatened with demolition so that Israel can plant a forest. A few days ago the latest study tour, grounded in ICAHD analysis, was completed. The UK participants came from a variety of backgrounds and included connections to unions, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, PSC and churches. They were joined by a member of ICAHD Finland.
The tour began with a briefing from ICAHD’s Jeff Halper who then took the group on a bus tour of Greater Jerusalem. He presented participants with his new map that illustrates the plans being discussed in the Knesset that will permanently displace 120,000 Palestinians from Jerusalem into a separate sub-municipality to make Jerusalem overwhelmingly Jewish while incorporating the whole central region of the West Bank into Israel. The participants had another opportunity later in the tour to submit a list of questions to Jeff following their exposure to issues in both the Occupied Palestine Territory and in Israel.

Marching for Justice and Freedom ICAHD UK was well represented on the 'Make It Right for Palestine' march on Saturday 4th November. The march was very visible walking down Oxford Street – reminding shoppers of the injustices faced by Palestinians over the course of 100 years. Thank you to all who came.
