Eitan Bronstein Aparicio & Eléonore Merza Bronstein in conversation with Jeff Halper

As we approach the 75^th anniversary of the Nakba, ICAHD UK invites you to join in a conversation between ICAHD’s Director Jeff Halper with Eitan Bronstein Aparicio, the founder of Zochrot and who currently, with his wife and partner Eléonore Marza, co-directs De-Colonizer .

Eitan’s personal and professional life has revolved around the elemental Nakba, and particularly how Jewish Israelis can and must deal with it. Zochrot was founded by Eitan as an Israeli organization dedicated not only to Nakba commemoration, but to educating the Israeli public over what Israel has tried to hide all these years. Politically, Zochrot also works to actually prepare for the return of the refugees. De-Colonizer is conceived as a junction between research, creativity, archiving / documentation and public discussion. It also operates Illegallery 81, an art gallery that hosts artists and performances dealing with issues of contested space.

Wednesday, 14 June at 7pm (UK) On Zoom The Hawiyya Dance group will participate in the very first ICAHD Benefit Concert.

Join us for ICAHD's exciting Summer Benefit Concert with musicians, dancers, poets and speakers. Help raise funds for our vital work on Palestine.

You are invited to attend our Summer fundraiser with inspiring performances to raise vitally needed funds for ICAHD UK. We aim to raise £10,000 so please dig deep and donate as much as you can.

The evening will be compered by Norma Cohen and includes a performance by the Palestinian Dabke dance group, Hawiyya, poetry by rapper Zaynab Mufti and Jayan Eric Holmes, film extracts from 'The Wrong Sort of Jew', music from Cleo Sylvestre, Garth Hewitt, Aida Youth Centre - Bethlehem, and a short extract from a renowned documentary filmmaker recently filmed in the West Bank,

There will also be contributions from ICAHD's Co-Founder and Director, Jeff Halper, ICAHD UK Director Linda Ramsden, Patron Professor Avi Shlaim and Rashed Khudairy from the Jordan Valley Solidarity Campaign.

The event will include an auction hosted by Patron Clare Short, to include original works of art, ceramics, Rio Cinema tickets, meals at Cafe Palestina and a selection of books from New Beacon Bookshop and others.
