Focusing on the Big Picture: Where Are We Headed in Palestine/Israel

ICAHD UK is hosting two conference this autumn – in London on 19^th October and in Edinburgh on 26^th October and pictured are some of the speakers.
Israel’s war on Gaza captured the world’s attention. It revealed how complicit Western nations are in allowing Israel’s genocide to continue without regard for international law. It also brought millions of people of all ages and backgrounds out onto the streets, and university students out of classes and into campus encampments. At last Palestine has become a global issue connecting many other struggles.
However, Palestinians and Palestine remain under threat as Israel’s genocide has been allowed to continue despite directives from the ICJ, ICC and votes in the UN’s General Assembly. What more can be done to pressure governments to finally hold Israeli authorities to account and to help bring freedom and justice to Palestine?
The conferences will provide wonderful opportunities to engage with our speakers and to meet with other attendees involved in the Palestinian struggle. Live streaming will also be provided for the London conference.

Jeff lives in Jerusalem and for many years has been a central figure in the Palestinian-Israeli issue, both as an activist on the ground and as an author and commentator. Visiting the UK at a time of such volatility, he is sure to bring insights to help us understand what is unfolding in the Middle East with the accompanying international repercussions.
Jeff will also reframe the Palestinian-Israeli question as an anti-colonial struggle, not a “conflict” between “sides” and will contrast Israel’s hasbara framing with a “justice and rights-based” framings grounded in Palestinian positions, international law and justice.
There is no fee for attending these meetings though donations will be taken and his book Decolonizing Israel, Liberating Palestine: Zionism, Settler Colonialism and the Case for One Democratic State will be for sale.
Continue to point out that Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention continues virtually daily, as does the land confiscation for the illegal construction of Jewish settlements. National March for Palestine
The national march on 5^th October will highlight that it is now a year since Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people started and that governments have allowed this gross injustice to continue. Therefore, it is vital that once again we peacefully express our outrage at our government’s complicity in addition to demonstrating our solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Having been accepted by the CAF bank more than two years ago following the Coop bank stopping all communication with us therefore forcing us to seek another bank, to our surprise, in May CAF informed us that because we are not a charity, it had decided to close our account. ICAHD UK has now be accepted by Lloyds bank. For any members who have standing orders in place, please instruct your bank to delete your current instruction. Keep Lobbying
As Israel’s wide-spread genocide and apartheid policies impact on the lives of all Palestinians residing in historic Palestine, we must keep flooding our MPs with letters calling to stop arms sales to Israel, and for an immediate permanent ceasefire.
